Introduction: Richard Wilkins

Greetings All! My name is Richard Wilkins and I am pursing Graduate Studies in the field of Special Education, placing an emphasis on those with mild-moderate needs. As a current resident of Niles, Ohio, I am employed as substitute teacher throughout various school districts including Niles, Howland, Brookfield, Champion, and Lordstown. There, I oversee and execute the assigned course-of-study while cultivating a conducive educational environment. Though this is not my first online course, I do possess the same enthusiasm as if it were. I look forward to the following semester and mutual academic enrichment.

  2. I bet you get a lot of experience being at different schools. I know for me going from Warren to Hubbard was a big change in how each district functions. I think it would be great if more teachers and/or administrators could get the experience of visiting other schools to see what they do.

  4. Hi Richard. Along with what everyone else said, I too think it is awesome how you are able to see so much of a variety of schools. I started at Mineral Ridge immediately after graduation and never had the opportunity to substitute, so I feel sometimes I am limited in the school environments I was exposed to before I accepted a full time position. I do love my school, but I think you have a great advantage with such a variety of experience under your belt.

  5. Hello Richard, it sounds like you've got your hands full with the substitute teaching gig. That's great that you are that involved. You are getting a lot of experience out in the field. I read under my comment that you, too, are a musician. I look forward to talking music with you!
